There are many ways to create a funeral that feels appropriate for the person being remembered. Some families prefer a traditional service, while others include personal details, favourite music, unusual transport or a more informal celebration of life.
We will explain the choices available, the associated costs and any restrictions applied by the crematorium, cemetery or chosen venue.

Creating a Funeral That Feels Truly Meaningful
Coffins and caskets
We can provide a selection of coffins and caskets in different materials, styles and price ranges. Options may include traditional wood-effect designs, veneered or solid wood coffins, wicker or willow, cardboard and personalised designs.
The choice may depend on personal preference, budget, environmental considerations and whether the funeral is a burial or cremation.

Hearses and limousines
A traditional motor hearse is available for the funeral procession, with limousines for family members where required. We will explain passenger capacity, collection arrangements and the proposed route.
Alternative transport, such as a horse-drawn hearse, motorcycle hearse or other specialist vehicle, may be available through approved suppliers. These arrangements should be requested as early as possible and are subject to availability and additional cost.
Funeral route
The procession may leave from the funeral home, a family address or another agreed location. Some families ask to pass a meaningful place, such as a former home, workplace, club or favourite view. We will assess timing, access and road conditions when planning the route.
Flowers can be a traditional and personal part of the funeral. Choices may include coffin sprays, wreaths, posies, hearts, letters, names and bespoke designs based on a hobby, profession or favourite colour.
You may choose family flowers only and invite other mourners to donate to a charity instead. We can help coordinate the wording used in funeral notices and provide details of our in-house florist if required. You can visit them at: The Flower B
An order of service can guide mourners through the ceremony and provide a keepsake for family and friends. It may include photographs, hymns, music, readings, a short life story, the names of participants and information about donations or the funeral reception.
We can coordinate design and printing, provide a proof for approval and arrange the required number of copies.
Music can create a powerful connection to the person being remembered. It may be religious, classical, contemporary, traditional or entirely personal.
Readings can include scripture, poetry, song lyrics within copyright limits, personal reflections or words written by the family. The officiant can help structure these elements within the service
Many crematoria and venues can display a single photograph or a slideshow during the service. Availability, formats and deadlines vary. We will explain the requirements and coordinate with the venue where this service is offered.
We can help prepare information for a newspaper notice, online funeral announcement or social media post. The notice can include service details, family-flower requests, a chosen charity and information about a reception.
Where donations are requested, we will explain the available collection and online options.
The person who has died may usually be dressed in their own clothes or clothing chosen by the family. Personal items may also be placed in the coffin, although restrictions may apply, particularly for cremation.
Please discuss jewellery and valuable items with us so that your wishes are recorded clearly.
