What makes up the cost of a funeral?
The total cost normally has three parts:
1. Our professional services and the funeral arrangements we provide.
2. Products and optional services selected by the family, such as a particular coffin, limousines, flowers or stationery.
3. Third-party fees paid to other organisations, sometimes called disbursements.
Our professional services
Depending on the funeral selected, our services may include:
• Receiving instructions and making the funeral arrangements
• Advice and support regarding documentation and registration
• Bringing the person who has died into our care within the agreed area and times
• Care and preparation of the person who has died
• Use of the chapel of rest by appointment, where included
• Provision of the selected coffin
• Use of a hearse and funeral staff
• Liaison with the crematorium, cemetery, church, officiant and other suppliers
• Administration and coordination before and on the day of the funeral
